Jimmy was talking in class about this online tool called Wordle so I decided to check it out. It's a really cool tool that you can insert a bunch of text and it produces a graphic using those words, making the ones that occur the most the biggest, and you can pick your own color scheme. There is an option to type in a web-address and it will use the words from that website. So I decided to make a wordle of my blog and this is what I got!

Pretty sweet, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteOn another note I'd like to comment on the group's building design as a whole. I know everyone works differently but I'm not quite sure how successful your method of designing the exterior envelope is (in my humble opinion). Looking at the preliminary plans it seems as if a shell was developed and program was space planned inside the shell. There is design to some extent appearing in the shell (see a comment I left on Kamena's blog) and perhaps the space planning is designed but the two entities are starkly separated and indpependent of each other. A method that we used as a group to combat this problem was to make diagrams of the major program areas and how they would be located based on responses to our main gesture and the surrounding community/campus.
Just a thought.
